Pennsylvania State University is amending the scope of work of their previously approved renewable energy academic program to include the installation of a 10-kilowatt wind turbine. The turbine will be used in the teaching of energy production concepts, as well as hands on installation, maintenance and troubleshooting. The wind turbine will be located on a 30 acre property owned by the Pennsylvania College of Technology, at the corner of US Route 15 South and Allenwood Camp Lane. The property is not located in or near a wetland and, based on a desktop search conducted by the Pennsylvania Natural Diversity Inventory, there are no known impacts to threatened or endangered species.
