The proposed project would be for the construction of a vehicle test pad and building located at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory's (NREL) South Table Mountain (STM) Complex, City of Golden, County of Jefferson, and State of Colorado. The vehicle test pad and Vehicle Modification Facility (VMF) would be located in Site Development Zone 4 (Central Campus) in the parcel to the north of the Field Test Laboratory Building (FTLB). The proposed development area, at approximately 39.7421 degrees North, 105.1758 degrees West, would be between the Mesa Top and Slope Conservation Easement and the main STM campus on fill material deposited at that location from the construction of the FTLB in 1984. The project would consist of a 10,000 square foot test pad, a 2,000 square foot VMF, a site access road, storm water controls, and required facility infrastructure.
