Colorado Governor's Energy Office will administer the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) Program for the State of Colorado. Colorado's Governor's Energy Office would pass through Department of Energy (DOE) funding to sub-recipients for the following activities: residential and commercial building audits by re-energizing Main Street program that offers technical assistance, energy audits and project management services to small commercial building and small business owners; subgrants for energy efficiency retrofits for qualified homeowners; subgrants to non-entitlement counties to develop energy efficiency programs that are bounded by the EECBG Funding Opportunity Announcement; Material Conservation program will provide funds for waste reduction and/or diversion projects; lighting project to fund LED (light-emitting diode) or other high-efficiency street lighting pilot project; Onsite Renewable Technology program to fund renewable energy projects in the public sector; and project oversight. All projects under these programs are bounded in compliance with the uploaded and signed EECBG Template for Expedited National Environmental Policy Act review.
