Center for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Technologies will use Department of Energy funding to conduct outreach activities in order to improve the efficiency of the existing transmission grid in the Western Interconnection to accommodate more wind energy and to significantly expand the grid to provide access to wind energy and other clear energy sources.
