Demolish K-Cooling Tower (185-3K), a steel reinforced hyperbolic concrete structure with a base measuring 345 feet inside diameter, a top inside diameter of 210 feet, and a height of 452 feet above grade. The concrete and other material will be taken to the construction and demolition (C&D) landfill located on the Savannah River Site (SRS). Steps will be taken to minimize or prevent any impacts on the surrounding environment. Evaluations will be conducted to potentially recycle the concrete, steel and plastic components.
