The City of Tuscon will use Department of Energy American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding to implement three Special Projects that involve key stakeholders, utilities and private partners. These three projects and activities include: 1. Identify and utilize all possible sources of solar funds: develop and implement financing mechanisms for solar systems on city facilities; 2. Integrate solar into planning and green building initiatives; 3. Establish and operate a solar central clearinghouse that provides education, information and referral services.
