The City of San Jose would use Department of Energy American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding to implement strategies to foster community involvement in activities that will spur solar market penetration. Key objectives of the Project are to: provide coordinated education and outreach activities on energy financing strategies to property owners; increase awareness of the viability and range of solar technologies and opportunities by ensuring the community has a mixture of hands-on and other educational opportunities; and increase available resources for green collar workforce training.
