This research and development activity will investigate the use of inorganic-based ion exchangers for separating americium and curium in spent nuclear fuel reprocessing flowsheets. This activity will investigate the affinity of inorganic and hybrid ion exchange materials to exchange/adsorb fission products and actinides from acidic solutions.
