The objectives for this project are to augment Columbia Gorge Community College's (CGCC) wind technician program, by providing hands-on training for students with current industry equipment. The objectives are 1) to acquire a wind turbine nacelle (gearbox/generator compartment) for training purposes, 2) to transport nacelle to CGCC campus at 400 East Scenic Drive, The Dalles, Oregon, and 3) to place the nacelle in the college's existing renewable energy technology training lab building. The nacelle will be used for student training rather than energy production and will not be erected at any time.
