Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program. The proposed action would involve the replacement of conventional lighting in eligible tribal facilities and parking lots with energy efficient lighting. The objectives of this lighting program include: 1) Assessing each facility for lighting upgrade needs and developing a timetable for replacing light fixtures: 2) Replacing lighting fixtures or bulbs at eligible tribal facilities; 3) Tracking electricity use at each facility compared to baseline 2007 using the Quarterly Reports; 4) Leveraging American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and tribal funds with other sources such as Focus on Energy; 5) Utilizing the Compact Fluorescent Lights (CFLs) recycling program; 6) Converting lighting at eligible parking facilities.
