A U.S. delegation has confirmed continued progress on emergency operating procedures and a path to complete a plant simulator at the Armenia Nuclear Power Plant. Discussions with Armenian technical and academic institutions on developing academic and professional training for their nuclear workforce are ongoing, with a draft memorandum of understanding underway between DOE and the Armenian government to identify the scope of work for further DOE-Armenia collaboration.
