Michelle Scott moves to LM after 18 years as a Support Partner
October 20, 2026The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Legacy Management (LM) recently welcomed Michelle Scott to the LM Financial Audits and Contract Services team. Scott, who previously worked with the LM Support Partner (LMSP), transitioned to the LM side in September.
“I’m so excited to transition to the federal side of the LM contract,” Scott said. “I’ve really enjoyed working with everyone on the contracting team, and I’m grateful to be able to start this new journey.”
After attending West Virginia University, Scott worked as a realtor before starting with LMSP. Scott worked for LMSP for more than 18 years, assisting to build and execute multiple integrated master schedules and specializing in analyzing complex scopes, schedules, and budget forecasting to uncover efficiencies. Most recently, Scott worked as the Task Order 9 and 10 scheduling manager.
“I’m extremely proud to be able to continue supporting the LM mission and playing a role in protecting the environment for future generations,” Scott said.
During her time at LMSP, Scott was instrumental in a variety of projects. She has enjoyed being involved with a team and doing everything she could to assist where she was needed.
LMSP Project Controls Manager Jenise Milush said, “Working with Michelle is and was an absolute pleasure. She's super organized, always brings incredible energy, and great at making complicated processes feel effortless. Michelle consistently pushes for the best results, and any team would be lucky to have her — she's truly an invaluable part of LM.”
One of Scott’s favorite things about working with LM and LMSP was the people around her and the support they have given her during her transition to the LM side.
“I really love working with everyone here,” Scott added. “Everyone is a team player, both LMSP and LM. People care deeply about what they’re building. I’ve always felt supported here. Switching from contracting to being directly on the LM side felt completely seamless because of that support. Everyone made sure I felt like an integral part of the team right away.”
While Scott is just getting started in her new role and is excited to explore the challenges ahead, she also saves time for the things she loves outside of work.
“I really love exploring the outdoors and visiting new places,” Scott said. “I’m also a huge football and basketball fan and really love spending time with my family, who have been nothing but supportive of me. I look forward to where this career will continue to take me.”
