Joe Alexander serves as the Chief of Staff, in the Office of Indian Energy, providing tactical guidance and supporting strategic direction. Prior to joining the Office of Indian Energy Joe served as the Chief of Staff in the Grid Deployment Office and as a Senior Advisor in the Office of Electricity.
Joe comes to DOE with both private and public sector experience. With over a decade of federal government experience, Joe has served on both the legislative branch in a Congressional Office and the executive branch in another agency.
A Midwest native where he grew up in a nuclear power plant community, Joe is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he was a student athlete in the Big Ten Conference.
