Award Winners 2017 DOE

FY2017 Small Business Award winners included the Office of Indian Energy, among other DOE entities, individuals, contractors, and small businesses who have contributed to DOE’s mission.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Indian Energy Policy and Programs was recognized for its efforts to promote small businesses at the 17th Annual DOE Small Business Forum & Expo, held May 22-24, 2018, in Houston, TX. The DOE Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization hosts this ceremony annually to recognize and honor small business stakeholders who have been particularly impactful.

In Fiscal Year 2017 (FY2017), DOE steered over $6.1 billion toward small businesses to meet the Department’s missions, in both prime and subcontract awards. For its contributions toward this success, the DOE Office of Indian Energy received the Federal Small Business Achievement of the Year award, which recognizes the tangible, annual, organizational results of a federal DOE element in terms of dollars and percentage increases to small business procurement activities, as well as growth in policies, programs, and procedures that promote small business use.
