Energy Innovator Fellowship Applications Open Through June 6

Gain Hands-on Experience Supporting Tribal Energy Projects

Applications are now open for the Energy Innovator Fellowship. Recent graduates and early-career energy professionals will spend up to two years in this paid fellowship, helping critical energy organizations execute projects that improve energy infrastructure and make the U.S. power system more reliable, affordable, and resilient. Candidates should have a demonstrated interest in energy solutions.

Applications are due on June 6.

2025 Tribal Host Institutions

Ten Tribal entities were selected as Host Institutions for 2025, including:

  • Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians, Portland, OR
  • Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium, Anchorage, AK
  • Blackfeet Community College, Browning, MT
  • Cherokee Nation's Office of the Secretary of Natural Resources, Tahlequah, OK
  • Coeur d'Alene Tribe, Plummer, ID
  • College of Menominee Nation, Keshena, WI
  • Guidiville Rancheria of California, Ukiah, CA
  • Navajo Nation Government - Minerals Department, Window Rock, AZ
  • Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe, Nixon, NV
  • Sinte Gleska University, Mission, SD

In 2024, ten Fellows were selected to support Tribal entities in their energy development projects.
