Initial and Comprehensive Security Briefing

All new employees requiring a Secret (L) or Top Secret (Q) DOE security badge must complete an Initial Security Briefing and a Comprehensive Security Briefing prior to being issued their badge.  Review of the websites below meet this requirement.  These briefings are only available on these websites.  The sites can be accessed from any computer with internet access.  No password or account are necessary.  Upon completion of each briefing, you will be prompted to provide your full name (with middle initial) and print the certificate of completion.  Please bring the certificates with you on your first day. 

HQ-110DE, Initial Security Briefing:  DOE Federal and contractor employees who receive a DOE security badge must receive an initial briefing before they are given unescorted access to other than public areas of the facility / site.

HQ-111DE, Comprehensive Security Briefing:  DOE Federal and contractor employees must receive a comprehensive briefing upon receipt of a security clearance and before receiving initial access to classified information or matter, or special nuclear material (SNM).
