Caribbean Transmission Development Co., LLC (CTDC) is applying to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for a Presidential Permit to to allow for the construction, connection, operation, and maintenance of facilities for transmission of electric energy at the international border between the United States Commonwealth of Puerto Rico (Puerto Rico) and the Dominican Republic. DOE's Notice of Application does not imply the DOE’s endorsement of the proposed infrastructure, nor does it supersede or replace any other necessary local, state, or federal permits, permissions, or approvals. It serves solely to inform the public of CTDC's application and invite feedback to inform DOE’s eventual permit decision.
