DOE has issued enforcement policy statements related to the distribution in commerce of walk-in coolers and walk-in freezers. The first document below is a policy statement that DOE will not seek civil penalties for violations of the certification regulations related to distribution in commerce of walk-in cooler doors and walk-in freezer doors provided that certain criteria are met, including that the doors are certified as engineered-to-order. The second document below is a policy statement that DOE will not seek civil penalties for violations of the certification regulations related to testing and certifying a group walk-in cooler doors or walk-in freezer doors as a basic model, even if they do not otherwise meet the definition of a basic model, provided that certain criteria are met.
