DOE ordered Shenzhenshi to pay a $106,636 civil penalty after finding Shenzhenshi had failed to certify that certain models of faucets comply with the applicable energy conservation standards. The Order adopted an initial decision by an ALJ judge which reflected settlement terms between DOE and Shenzhenshi.
