DOE ordered Mueller Door Company (Mueller) to pay a $20,000 civil penalty after finding Mueller had failed to certify that certain models of walk-in coolers and freezers comply with the applicable energy conservation standards.
DOE regulations require a manufacturer (which includes importers) to submit reports certifying that each basic model of its products have been tested and meet the applicable standards.
