DOE ordered Innovative Display Works, Inc. (Innovative Display) to pay a $20,000 civil penalty after finding Innovative Display had failed to certify that certain models of commercial refrigerators comply with the applicable energy conservation standards.
DOE regulations require a manufacturer (which includes importers) to submit reports certifying that each basic model of its products have been tested and meet the applicable standards.
