DOE ordered Entree LLC to abide by the Compromise Agreement dated January 28, 2016, after DOE testing showed that Entree model CUF-28/UF27 does not comply with the energy conservation standard for commercial refrigerators. Entree had manufactured (imported) and distributed in commerce in the U.S. multiple units of the model. The Order adopted a Compromise Agreement, which reflected settlement terms between DOE and Entree.
DOE issued a Notice of Noncompliance Determination to Entree on January 28, 2016, finding that Entree model CUF-28/UF27 does not comport with the energy conservation standards. DOE determined the products were noncompliant based on DOE testing. Entree notified each person (or company) to whom Entree distributed the noncompliant products that the products do not meet Federal standards. In addition, Entree provided to DOE documents and records showing the number of units Entree distributed and to whom.
