The U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management (FECM) is celebrating its second annual Carbon Management Day to recognize the essential role carbon management has in meeting the nation’s goal of net-zero emissions by 2050. Carbon Management Day is celebrated on December 1 because 12.01 is the atomic mass of carbon.

As a part of Carbon Management Day, FECM will host a webinar on December 1 at 12:01 p.m. EST to gather carbon management stakeholders across industry, academia, and communities to celebrate the progress that has been made to date and recognize the work that still needs to be done to meet U.S. climate goals. Topics will include updates on FECM’s key initiatives and a closer look into FECM-funded carbon management projects.
