Kevin Bazzell

Kevin Bazzell, Federal Project Director

Kevin Bazzell has served as the Environmental Management (EM) Excess Facility Demolition Federal Project Director (FPD) for the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory since 2012 and 2018 respectively and has more than 35 years of experience in the nuclear industry. As FPD, he is responsible for overseeing cleanup of process contaminated facilities at both Sites.  Bazzell was Deputy Director of the Oakland Projects Office and the FPD for the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory Environmental Restoration Project prior to this position.

Bazzell spent 13 years at the Richland Operation’s Office where he worked in the Waste Management Program, the Integration Office and served as the River Corridor Closure Project FPD.  Prior to joining DOE, he was a Nuclear Test Engineer and Nuclear Refueling Engineer at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.

Bazzell holds a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles and a Master of Business Administration from Washington State University.
