The Mechanical Systems FAQS establishes common functional area competency requirements for all DOE mechanical systems personnel who provide assistance in, direction or guidance to, or oversight or evaluation of contractor technical activities that could impact the safe operation of DOE’s defense nuclear facilities.

Per the recent finalization and posting of DOE-STD-8000-2021, Safety System Oversight Functional Area Qualification Standard, the FTCP Agents provided concurrence for the cancellation and archival of the FAQS listed below. This action is part of a comprehensive plan being managed by the FTCP to streamline and improve the overall qualification process for personnel in the DOE Technical Qualification Program. |
