During this February 13, 2018 webinar, NGLS Connected Lighting Evaluations: What Have We Learned So Far?, Ruth Taylor of Pacific Northwest National Laboratory shared lessons learned to date from Next Generation Lighting Systems (NGLS) competitions 1 and 2, including an inside look at the challenges encountered in the installation and configuration of these lighting systems in working classrooms. The NGLS competition kicked off in 2017, and indoor competitions 1 and 2 are already in full swing. A total of 12 different connected lighting systems marketed as being easy to install and configure have been installed in a “living lab” at The New School, Parsons School of Design, where they’ll undergo extensive evaluations over a two-year period.
