The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Interconnection Innovation e-Xchange (i2X) Forum for the Implementation of Reliability Standards for Transmission (FIRST) helps advance new standards affecting grid interconnection of energy resources. The i2X Forum also encourages broader adoption of existing standards such as the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Std 2800.
Format
i2X FIRST is a monthly series of virtual, interactive meetings comprised of expert presentations and industry discussions. Each meeting focuses on a specific interconnection standard, addressing its rationale, technology readiness, best practices, technical challenges, and implementation gaps.
Who Should Attend
Independent system operators, regional transmission operators, utility staff, generator developers and owners/operators, consultants, and original equipment manufacturers interested in advancing the implementation of interconnection standards should consider attending i2X FIRST.
Past Events
