AMMTO, in collaboration with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), is hosting an informational webinar on the "Re-X Before Recycling Prize". This webinar is a pivotal opportunity for individuals and teams interested in leading the change towards sustainable practices in the clean energy industry.
The "Re-X Before Recycling" Prize, a key initiative under the Biden-Harris Administration’s vision for net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, aims to inspire innovations in extending the lifespan of products. With a total award pool of $4.5 million in cash prizes and $1.1 million in national laboratory analysis consultation and technical assistance, the competition encourages participants to engage in activities like reusing, repairing, refurbishing, remanufacturing, or repurposing products before recycling.
The webinar will provide detailed information about the competition, including its goals, timelines, deliverables, and the structure of its three phases – Identify, Prepare, and Develop. It will also serve as a platform for attendees to have their questions about the prize answered directly by the prize administrators.
