Director of Risk Management, Office of Energy Dominance Financing (EDF)
Wade Green, Jr. is the Director of Risk Management for the Office of Energy Dominance Financing (EDF), where he oversees credit risk, compliance, enterprise risk management, and internal oversight for the Department’s lending programs under the Federal Credit Reform Act.
Wade joined EDF from the CHIPS Program at the U.S. Department of Commerce, where he served as Chief Risk and Compliance Officer for a portfolio of more than $39 billion in grants and up to $75 billion in loan authority supporting domestic semiconductor manufacturing. He also led portfolio-wide monitoring for capital-intensive project finance transactions.
Previously, Wade spent more than seventeen years at the Department of Commerce Office of Inspector General as General Counsel, including multiple periods as Acting Inspector General and Acting Deputy Inspector General. He directed the office’s legal, ethics, policy, and congressional affairs functions, including serving as its senior liaison to congressional committees.
Earlier, Wade served as Deputy Associate Solicitor of Labor and as a Senior ERISA Trial Attorney conducting civil prosecutions of plan fiduciaries, and as an Assistant General Counsel with the Coalition Provisional Authority in Baghdad, Iraq.
Wade holds a Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in international relations and Islamic religion, with a focus on Middle East policy and a minor in Arabic, from the University of Georgia.
