On August 25, 2026, the National Nuclear Security Administration issued Preliminary Notice of Violation (WEA-2026-01) to Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC, for violations of DOE’s 10 C.F.R. Part 851Worker Safety and Health Program requirements related to a thumb amputation event at the K-Area Complex at the Savannah River Site.
