    The letter reflects DOE's notification to Whirlpool of dishwasher model ASD2524VE's non-compliance with ENERGY STAR efficieincy requirements. DOE stated that because Whirlpool permanently discontinued this model and because there was little to no inventory remaining, DOE believed that further testing would be impractical. DOE referred the matter to the EPA, the brand manager for ENERGY STAR.
