On May 21, 2026, the Department of Energy (DOE) issued emergency DOE Order No. 202-26-24, pursuant to section 202(c) of the Federal Power Act, to PJM Interconnection, L.L.C. (PJM). The order directs PJM, in coordination with Constellation Energy Corporation, to ensure Units 3 and 4 of the Eddystone Generating Station in Pennsylvania remain available to operate and to employ economic dispatch to minimize costs for the American people. This order is in effect beginning on May 25, 2026, through August 22, 2026.
