Secretary Perry To Visit Hanford Site

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Next Tuesday, U.S. Secretary of Energy Rick Perry will visit the Hanford site in Washington State to deliver remarks.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Next Tuesday, U.S. Secretary of Energy Rick Perry will visit the Hanford site in Washington State to deliver remarks at an employee celebration to commemorate the completion of the K-Basin sludge transfer. This transfer was completed under budget, ahead of schedule, and reduces the environmental risks to the Columbia River. Following his remarks, the Secretary will participate in a media availability. The Secretary will also speak with local STEM students and tour site facilities.

Interested members of the media must RSVP by Saturday, September 28 to Kelly Love at Kelly.love@hq.doe.gov and Geoff Tyree at Geoffrey.Tyree@rl.doe.gov to attend.
