Secretary Perry Participates in Third Innovation XLab at Oak Ridge National Lab

WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Tuesday, May 7, 2019, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) will host the InnovationXLab: Advanced Manufacturing Summit at DOE’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

U.S. Secretary of Energy Rick Perry will provide remarks, tour the innovative XLab exhibits, and have a brief media availability. The following DOE officials will also be participating in the Advanced Manufacturing Summit:

  • Under Secretary of Energy Mark W. Menezes

  • Under Secretary for Science Paul Dabbar

  • Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Daniel Simmons

  • Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Nuclear Energy Ed McGinnis

  • DOE Chief Commercialization Officer and Director of the Office of Technology Transitions Conner Prochaska

Secretary Perry will also unveil a major computing announcement while at Oak Ridge on Tuesday.
