INFORMATIONAL WEBINAR: ARCTIC ENERGY AMBASSADORS PROGRAM

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 11 AM AKDT // 3 PM ET

>>>> Register Here <<<<

On this webinar, you’ll hear from Katie Conway, Energy Program Manager, Denali Commission, Erin Reinders, Infrastructure Program Director, Alaska Municipal League, and Erin Whitney, Director of the Arctic Energy Office, about the scope and goals of this Program. Then you’ll have time to ask questions about the program logistics and activities.

The new Arctic Energy Ambassadors program will provide training and financial support for 12 selected, experienced practitioners from Alaska regions to improve energy security across Alaska. The program will develop regional, place-based, and collaborative energy leadership in Alaska, along with resources and knowledge-sharing partnerships in alignment with the U.S. Department of Energy’s Arctic Strategy and the clean energy transition. Ambassadors will apply through their employer, and a $50,000 annual stipend will be provided for 20/hours of work weekly for a two-year commitment to serve as an Ambassador at the full performance of the program.

The Arctic Energy Ambassadors program is led by the Arctic Energy Office, in partnership with the Denali Commission, Alaska Municipal League, and with additional funding from the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy and the Office of State and Community Energy Programs.

Through deployment of energy projects and support for grant applications and technical assistance, the U.S. Department of Energy is delivering resources and partnership for the Arctic region, aligned with the DOE Arctic Strategy.

We look forward to seeing you on the webinar. If you cannot attend but would like to learn more, please sign up in order to receive a recording.
