June 25, 2026The Arctic Energy Office (AE) of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced today its comprehensive participation in the Alaska Sustainable Energy Conference (ASEC), together with DOE’s Offices of Office of Critical Minerals and Energy Innovation (CMEI), Indian Energy, and the national labs. At this conference, taking place May 19-21, 2026, in Anchorage, DOE's presence will highlight its unwavering commitment to advancing affordable energy solutions, bolstering energy resilience, and fostering economic growth throughout Alaska.

DOE leaders and experts will participate in various sessions, workshops, and discussions, sharing insights on key initiatives such as the Arctic Seed Funding, the Maintaining and Enhancing Hydroelectricity Incentives program, the Critical Minerals and Materials Accelerator Program and the Unleashing Tribal Energy Development Funding Opportunity. The Department's participation will also provide opportunities for direct engagement with stakeholders on ongoing research, development, and demonstration projects aimed at enhancing energy security and promoting economic diversification in the Arctic.
