August 21, 2018Cincinnati – The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) issued a Draft Request for Proposal (RFP) for a new contract to provide for the management and operation of the Savannah River Site (SRS). The SRS Operations (Post FY 2018) Management and Operating (M&O) Contract is estimated to be worth a total of approximately $15 billion over a period of up to 10 years, including option periods. The current M&O contract at Savannah River is held by Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC, and is set to expire July 31, 2019.
The Pre-Solicitation Conference originally scheduled for the week of September 10, 2018, has been rescheduled to the week of September 17, 2018. Please visit the procurement website at https://www.emcbc.doe.gov/SEB/SRSPostFY18Ops/ for the revised "Interested Community Partner SRS (Post FY 2018) Community Letter" and the "Special Notice - Pre-Solicitation Conference One-on-One Registration DRFP" for specific changes. The Draft RFP Industry comment due date is also extended from September 21, 2018, to September 27, 2018.
