DOE Forrestal Building, Washington, DC
Event Overview
Thank you for joining the Department of Energy at the Direct Current Circuit Breakers Workshop to discuss the role and key barriers of direct current circuit breakers (DCCBs) in the deployment of High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) systems, and how DOE strives to bridge these gaps through insights from stakeholders, industry leaders, and researchers.
Agenda Highlights
The goal of this workshop aimed to garner insight and feedback from key stakeholders to help inform DOE’s strategy for continued development in the Direct Current Circuit Breakers (DCCB) space. Participants heard from a variety of speakers regarding the role HVDC could play in our energy infrastructure and how DCCBs are critical to realizing that future. The afternoon was devoted to a guided, collaborative discussion to solicit responses on the key barriers to increased commercialization and deployment of DCCBs.
