DOE is proposing to provide funding to the Native Village of Shishmaref to complete energy efficiency measures and upgrades at two community buildings, the Clinic and the Tannery. In addition to the energy efficiency measures, a waste oil heater and residential sized wind turbine would be installed at or near the Tannery.
