In 2010 a mixed TRU waste spill occurred on TRU Pad 16 making that portion of the pad unusable for the storage of hazardous waste. This EEC will only coverage preparation work to place the area in safe condition to allow normal personnel entry to perform closure work. Closure of TRU Pad 16 will follow once SCDHEC approves RCRA closure documents.
