The principle objective of this project is to add new instrumentation to an existing suite of dedicated equipment supporting research on radioactive materials. The research focuses primarily on the chemistry of lanthanide and actinide metal ions, which are of central importance in the development of future fuel cycles that will support actinide transmutation.
