Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) proposes to perform geotechnical testing at four transmission line river crossings on the Columbia and Willamette rivers. Geotechnical testing would assess the capacity of the soils in these areas to undergo liquefaction. Results of the testing would be used evaluate the need for seismic hardening of the transmission towers in these areas.
