This equipment class includes all pumps commonly found in applications which have their axes aligned horizontally. The class includes pumps driven by electric motors, reciprocating piston engines, and steam turbines. The common peripheral components such as conduit, instrumentation, and suction and discharge lines up to their first support on the building or nearby structure are included in this equipment class.
