The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) issued Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) based on the environmental assessment (EA) for the Mexichem Fluor, Inc. Lithium Hexafluorophosphate (LiPF6) Manufacturing Unit Project (DOE/EA-2236). The EA assesses the potential environmental impacts of providing financial assistance for construction and operation of a LiPF6 manufacturing unit at Mexichem’s property in St. Gabriel, Iberville Parish, Louisiana that would produce at least 10,000 MT of LiPF6.
