The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) issued a final environmental assessment (EA) for the Mexichem Fluor, Inc. Lithium Hexafluorophosphate (LiPF6) Manufacturing Unit Project (DOE/EA-2236). The EA assesses the potential environmental impacts of providing financial assistance for construction and operation of a LiPF6 manufacturing unit at Mexichem’s property in St. Gabriel, Iberville Parish, Louisiana that would produce at least 10,000 MT of LiPF6.
