Hanford Mission Integration Solutions (HMIS) and its subcontractors perform aviation activities for survey, monitoring, or security purposes that comply with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations. HMIS Environmental Field Support and U.S. Department of Energy, Hanford Field Office (DOE-HFO), Site Stewardship Division propose to routinely use small unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) on the Hanford Site for aerial surveying, monitoring, and security purposes.
