The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) reached a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) based upon the environmental assessment (EA) prepared by the Denali Commission (DC) for the Fivemile Creek Hydroelectric Project (DOE/EA-2278). The EA assesses the potential impacts of the proposed action to construct and operate a hydroelectric facility intended to support and provide renewable energy to the village of Chitina, Alaska.
