Unauthorized access of a high radiation area at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
On December 18, 2025, the Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Enterprise Assessments’ Office of Enforcement notified Lawrence Livermore National Security, LLC, of its intent to investigate potential noncompliances with DOE nuclear safety program requirements (10 C.F.R. Part 820) related to an unauthorized access of a high radiation area involving two workers on July 11, 2025, at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
