This workshop focuses on developing performance assurance plans to ensure long-term performance and savings from energy conservation measures in a utility energy service contract (UESC). Essential plan components include commissioning, training, measurement and verification (M&V), and operations and maintenance (O&M).

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, attendees will be able to:

  • Identify performance assurance requirements for UESCs.
  • Recognize the components of a strong performance assurance plan such as commissioning, training, M&V, and O&M.
  • Identify how to customize the performance assurance requirements for each energy conservation measure;
  • Recognize how to utilize Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) resources—tools, templates, training, and expertise—available for developing a performance assurance plan.
