This webinar introduces NREL's REopt® tool and its new Portfolio Analysis capabilities, including an introduction to REopt and an overview and demonstration of the REopt Web Tool's Portfolio Analysis capabilities.

REopt is a free and publicly available tool accessible by user-friendly web interface or by open-source code to help users evaluate the techno-economic feasibility of distributed energy resources (DERs), including solar photovoltaics, wind turbines, battery storage, geothermal heat pumps, combined heat and power, and thermal energy storage.

The new Portfolio Analysis capability in the REopt Web Tool enables users to screen multiple facilities for DERs to inform prioritization for deeper dive analysis.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, attendees will be able to:

  • Identify REopt's capabilities.
  • Recognize how to complete a basic PV and battery screening using REopt Web Tool's Portfolio Analysis capability.
  • Identify how to use the outputs of the Portfolio Analysis screening capability for more detailed DER assessments.
